Terms of Service

The service. Dernier Souvenir restores, colourizes and animates customer-supplied photographs, delivered as digital files (high-resolution photo and/or short film). Results are generated by artificial intelligence, provided "as is," with no guarantee of accuracy or perfect likeness.

Photo processing and AI. To provide the service, we (i) use automated detection to locate faces so you can select one - this is not facial recognition: no biometric identification or matching is performed or stored; (ii) transmit your images to third-party artificial-intelligence providers, which may process and store them on servers located outside Canada, in order to generate your result; (iii) retain your uploads and finished files only for a strict 7-day download window, after which they are permanently deleted.

Your commitments. You confirm that you hold all necessary rights to the images you upload and that they contain no unlawful, infringing or abusive content.

No recovery after 7 days. Because we keep no files beyond the 7-day window, we can neither re-issue a download link nor recover your photos or videos after that time. Download and save your files promptly. You may request deletion of your content at any time by writing to info@derniersouvenir.com.

Privacy. We do not sell your images and do not use them to train models; they are shared only with the processing providers described above.
